Weird Roach is the project of Santa Ana-based musician and artist Brennan Roach, who has been riding the wave of his creative impulse since 2018. Blending indie sensibilities with experimental textures, Weird Roach builds a sound that is at once melodic and unpredictable, layering horns, digital instrumentation, vocal filters, and percussion into something distinctly his own.

Drawing comparisons to the off-kilter eclecticism of Beck, Stereolab, Radiohead and Broken Social Scene, Weird Roach has steadily developed a catalog that resists easy categorization. His 2026 album Hello Are You There? marks his most ambitious work to date, following earlier releases including Cold Dirt, Beginner’s Mind, and his 2022 self-titled EP.

Beyond music, Roach is a multidisciplinary artist whose visual work has been exhibited at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (OCCCA). Based in Southern California, Weird Roach continues to expand his creative universe on his own terms — independent, genre-fluid, and always in motion.
