Low Hawk

Artist Bio

Low Hawk is the solo moniker of singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Kelly Morris. Picking up the guitar at age seven, Morris absorbed an eclectic mix of influences—from Led Zeppelin and B.B. King to Joe Pass and Jeff Buckley—before writing his own music by thirteen. He cut his teeth co-founding the indie garage-rock duo The Mobros with his brother, launching out of the Columbia, SC scene in 2014 to embark on six years of relentless national touring. When the touring landscape closed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Morris retreated to an artistic haven near Asheville, NC, to refine his individual sound. The resulting self-produced tracks—including indie-rock standout “Bronx Romance” and the ethereal, fingerstyle folk single “Stay With Me”—captured immediate industry acclaim, earning spots on Bandcamp’s New & Notable and tastemaker playlists like the SceneSC Sampler. Now fully immersed in the Nashville scene, Morris has teamed up with Grammy Award-winning producer Jeremy Ferguson (Cage The Elephant, White Reaper) to co-produce Low Hawk’s highly anticipated debut album, Greetings From Doom Beach.
