Artist Bio

Christopher Knowles is a songwriter, composer, and frontman of Heaven’s Lieutenant, hailing from Kingston Upon Thames, the home of Paper Garden Records. His solo work blends haunting piano textures with delicate yet commanding vocals, exploring themes of fragility, transcendence, and emotional depth.

Knowles’ forthcoming EP, due out 10 October on Paper Garden Records, marks a new chapter in his career, pairing his cinematic sensibility with raw, intimate songwriting. Known for his unique ability to craft music that feels both otherworldly and deeply sincere, his performances invite listeners into a space that is fragile yet resolutely beautiful.

Earlier in his career, Knowles trained at Fabrica: Benetton’s Arts Research Center in Italy and performed at international venues including La Biennale di Venezia and the Conservatorio di Milano. His work spans from modern classical composition to documentary scoring, with credits such as the feature-length Rwanda Again for RadioTelevisioneSvizzera.

Today, his music continues to bridge art and emotion, offering listeners an experience that is at once deeply personal and universally resonant.
