The opening track from Conveyor‘s debut LP has been posted for first listening on one of our favorite blogs, I Guess I’m Floating today!

The new song Woolgatherer is shiny, complex, endlessly catchy and full of the nuances that make Conveyor the only band of its kind.

IGIF were almost as excited about the track as we are:

“Woolgatherer is a great summertime track, blending up-and-down harmonies with punchy percussion as well as scorching sunshine and afternoon thunderstorms. The vocals remind me of Brooklyn’s ARMS and the snap-crackle percussion/harmony tango of juvenile Animal Collective,” they said.

A couple weeks ago, PGR’s Bryan Scary went into the Serious Business studio in SOHO to perform all new songs from the upcoming album, Daffy’s Elixir (April 24, 2012), for BreakThru Radio.  Turns out, it was right in line with BTR’s 100th Episode.  Featuring the track, “Ballroom Kid”, alongside snippets from “Red Baron (Of Arizona)”, this session makes us all-the-more excited to see the band live on April 11th with Little Tybee @ Joe’s Pub and April 24th @ Brooklyn Bowl (The Deli Mag presents).

Alongside this stellar piece from Breakthru Radio, yesterday our friends at I Guess I’m Floating premiered Scary’s first single from Daffy’s Elixir, “Ziegfield Station”.

“This dude, Bryan Scary, is for the days you’re totally fried and looking for a retro kick back, a pop punch in the face, and a musical wet willy in the ear. If you like your milkshakes with a retro pop layering of ELO, fused with the glow of of Montreal and the breakdown of Queen…I’m enjoying everything about this jam..” - I Guess I’m Floating

“Peppy piano, handclaps, and strings that crescendo like whitecaps on sea waves – his new single starts off with a feeling similar to Arcade Fire if you were to trade a dark and broody church recording studio for a summery session in the Grand Canyon. Even if your frontal lobe was as useless as a Blockbuster video store, you’d still be able to deduce that Mr. Mardock can compose a great, layered song like few others.”I Guess I’m Floating

I Guess I’m Floating marked the first single from Eli Mardock’s new album with talk of Nostalgia.  Which is exactly what it is to Paper Garden as well, as Eli was the front-man of PGR’s first ever band, Eagle Seagull!  IGIF sums it up best, so head on over to IGuessImFloating.net for the full post!

Little Tybee’s new record, Humorous To Bees, is generating as much buzz as its name implies. We were psyched to see that two of our favorite music blogs decided to give some love to our new release: I Guess I’m Floating posted glowing reviews of both “Nero” and “Passion Seekers” here; and You Ain’t No Picasso gave the “Nero” video a shout-out here.

If that’s not enough to get you pumped about the new album, Little Tybee also recorded a live session for BreakThru Radio. Check out the video of “Signal Below,” below:
