Just one week and one day after the release of his debut solo album “Mount Modern,” Dad Rocks! aka Snæver Albertsson is celebrating his 27th birthday today! And don’t we have a big ‘presence’ for him, the reviews of Mount Modern have been so overwhelmingly positive he can’t help but be rejoicing over in Denmark!
KEXP posted a premiere of the track “Weapons” which also has an accompanying hilarious music video about the dangers of pirating music that can be found at The Owl Mag, Beyond Race, or NME.com. Look for the upcoming exclusive KEXP session of Dad Rocks! at the Ace Hotel during CMJ!
John Brainlove of Drowned in Sound recently gave “Mount Modern” an excellent score of 9/10 in his review of the record.
UK based music blog GoldFlakePaint, a blog recently nominated as “Best UK Music Blog” by Record Of The Day also posted a review of “Mount Modern” written by our very own intern Caitlin White, that gave the record a perfect score of 10/10.
In addition, The Dadada also gave Dad Rocks! a score of 90/100 in an excellent review that you can read here.
That’s a lot of excellent marks for a debut release. Of course, Dad Rocks! has always been an A in our book.
