We would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our party during SXSW we hosted with The Wild Honey Pie on Friday 3/15. It was… AMAZING! We’d like to send a big internet hug to all of the bands who all played incredible sets, The Eastern Sea, Doe Paoro, You Won’t, Conveyor, Pearl and the Beard, The Last Bison, High Highs, Widowspeak, Mikhael Paskalev, ON AN ON, Little Tybee, Pree, Eli Mardock and Frances Cone… we love all of you!
And more loving thanks to our incredible sponsors who helped us put this practically perfect party together: KOHLER, Superglued, Applauze App and Mailchimp (those monkey hats were adorable) and the best venue in Austin, Uncorked Wine Tasting Bar!
Finally, a gigantic sloppy kiss to all of you who packed our party to the brim. We loved talking with you, drinking with you and watching wonderful music with you. Let’s do it again next year!
And here all the Paper Garden band schedules:
You’ve been asking us if we’ll be down in Austin, Texas for SXSW this year. Well, the answer is “hell yes we’ll be in Austin!” It seems as if the slow build up to the year’s most important/fun music conference/festival has, in two days, become a tidal wave of excitement and nerves.
Having worked on putting together this party for the last months, we are extremely proud to share the lineup and invite you to this year’s The Beehive during SXSW, a party made possible by KOHLER and their new bluetooth-speaker equipped showerhead, the Moxie. RSVP below and see you in Austin!

The CMJ Music Marathon has come to a close for another year, and as we symptomatically withdraw from nine Conveyor shows, 3 Pree shows, 2 showcases and a lot of free alcohol, we rejoice and reflect on our most successful CMJ to date *Happy Sigh*.
Let us brag… so did you see Conveyor in The New York Times, not once but thrice!? Jon Pareles took an early liking to the band with his opening article ‘CMJ: A Promising Start‘ setting the stage for praise upon praise from some of our favorite outlets such as Nylon, Bonnaroo, Grooveshark, Prefix Magazine, QRO Magazine, Verbicide and a ton more. They made two more appearances in the times, firstly on Mr Pareles’ CMJ Spotify Playlist and secondly with a couple of snaps taken at their Fontana’s Showcase!
While we may have provided the music, our lovely sponsors are to thank for turning the party-knotch up to 11 with free beer flowing from Speakeasy Beers, free wine from HobNob, and of course 4 bicycles given away thanks to Schwinn!
Oh, and you know even though CMJ is over, our engines are still running and there is plenty more chances coming up to see our bands in NYC and beyond. Here’s a few excuses to see us again..

“Peppy piano, handclaps, and strings that crescendo like whitecaps on sea waves – his new single starts off with a feeling similar to Arcade Fire if you were to trade a dark and broody church recording studio for a summery session in the Grand Canyon. Even if your frontal lobe was as useless as a Blockbuster video store, you’d still be able to deduce that Mr. Mardock can compose a great, layered song like few others.” – I Guess I’m Floating
I Guess I’m Floating marked the first single from Eli Mardock’s new album with talk of Nostalgia. Which is exactly what it is to Paper Garden as well, as Eli was the front-man of PGR’s first ever band, Eagle Seagull! IGIF sums it up best, so head on over to IGuessImFloating.net for the full post!
